Our story

FirstCall began as an ERP consulting firm, helping companies implement and run SAP, many of them in the defense supply chain. Working inside those businesses, we watched CMMC go from a rumor to a contract requirement, and we saw how few advisors understood both the systems our clients ran and what an assessor would ask to see.

So we built FirstCall Federal around that gap. Our president became a Lead Certified CMMC Assessor and went on to support more than 30 C3PAO assessments. That assessment experience is now the foundation of everything we do: we prepare clients for the questions they will actually be asked, not a generic checklist.

As our clients’ needs grew, so did we. Today we prepare companies for CMMC, FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI DSS, FISMA and AI governance, and we back that up with penetration testing, vCISO, incident readiness and secure AI services. Our sister firm, FirstCall Consulting, continues our ERP and SAP practice.

Leadership

Travis Sands, President. Travis is a Lead Certified CMMC Assessor (LCCA) who has supported more than 30 C3PAO assessments. He leads our compliance practice and brings an assessor’s view to every engagement, from the first gap assessment to the day the assessment team arrives.

He is backed by a team of compliance consultants and technical partners who handle everything from policy writing and System Security Plans to GCC High and enclave builds.

We work with PreVeil, Consist Tech and other MSP partners to deliver secure environments and remediation, and with the Georgia Tech Apex Accelerator and Manufacturing Extension Partnership to educate contractors on CMMC.
